Lagniappe Covers Produce Club

The Lagniappe, one of our favorite local reads, did a great piece on our Produce Club a few weeks back. We are dreadfully behind in sharing this article, written by Eleanor Baker.  Because of this article, so many folks on the other side of the bay have now discovered our great produce that we are on the brink of having to buy a van to get it all to Red or White every Monday! Thanks for the support, Lagniappe!

There’s a lot going on at Windmill Market in downtown Fairhope. Located on the corner of Equality and Bancroft Streets, anyone is welcome to stroll up to the tiered gardens surrounding the eco-friendly building and pick what they want of the organic fruit, vegetables and herbs growing there.

Small Town Flavor

A little more than a year ago we had the privilege of being included in the pilot for a new tv show starring Fairhope's own Panini Pete! We hosted the viewing party a few months back and all the business that were featured, all the folks who worked on the project, everyone involved came out for a fun evening to see the finished product! Good food and more than a few laughs were shared that night as we watched ourselves on the Windmill's big screen (soon to be on the small screen nationwide we hope!)

The show is now out for viewing to the public and we wanted to share!

Of course anyone who knows the Windmill knows that we are an ever-evolving animal and lots has changed since we were filmed. But the heart and soul of the market is the same, the principles of "local, seasonal and sustainable" that the market was founded on still run through everything we do. We just think we are a more vibrant and full market experience with a setup, hours and merchandise that work even better for Fairhope shoppers! Check us out in Small Town Flavor (and remember when...).
