The Kyle & Karl
Band will release their highly anticipated album on Friday, May 4, showcasing
the collaborative harmony, rhythm and production talents of musicians in the
Fairhope community. Fans enjoyed tracks from Kyle & Karl With a Band
of Friends on the band’s Facebook page over the last week. The full album
will be unveiled during First Friday’s ArtWalk at the Windmill Market
The album was recorded at Green Room Studios in Fairhope,
AL. “It excites me to create music with the family that I love in the
environment of our own studio,“ said band member Karl Langley. “Kyle and I
wanted to branch out on our sound, so what better way than to include friends
and supporters of our music.”
Anthony Crawford of Sugarcane Jane and Neil Young's
International Harvesters contributed by playing pedal steel, mixing and
mastering the album. All original tunes comprise the eight song collection, plus
a unique version of "Baby Please Don't Go," an old blues favorite.
“The songwriting focuses on the human experience,“ explained band member Kyle
Brady. “Realization, redemption, longing & love - moving slowly with a
certain force."
The album features a host of talented local musicians,
including Erin Langley, Anthony Crawford, Tom Morley of Mithril and John
Anderson's Band, Chris Spies of Grayson Capps, Blake Nolte, Melissa Bowman,
Phil Procter, Zach Sierke, and Nathan Shiver.
